These durable purses are made from re-used juice packs from the Philippines. The packaging comprises non-biodegradable foil and plastic that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators.
They are made by a women's cooperative, near Manila as part of an environmental project with the aim of 'cleaning and greening' the local neighbourhood.
The purses are fairly traded to ensure fair pay and working conditions for all the women in the co-operative. When you buy one of these wallets you are helping to improve the lives of the workers and their families.
They are available in five funky flavours - Mango Jungle Juice, Milk-O, Fun Chum Apple, Jungle Juice Tiger and Plus!200 Strawberry. They have a clear plastic divider and the back of the juice packs are visible on the inside too!
