These durable and fun pencil cases are made entirely from re-used juice packs from the Philippines. The packaging comprises non-biodegradable foil and plastic that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators.
They are made by a women's cooperative, near Manila as part of an environmental project with the aim of 'cleaning and greening' the local neighbourhood.
The pencil cases are fairly traded to ensure fair pay and working conditions for all the women in the co-operative. When you buy one of these boxes you are helping to improve the lives of the workers and their families.
These pencil cases are just the right size to hold your pens, pencils, ruler and rubber and come in five designs so there is one to suit everybody! Sunkist Lemo (lime green), Milk-O (blue), banana ketchup (yes! banana ketchup! People in the Philippines love Banana Ketchup! It actually tastes rather like tomato ketchup (but sweeter). Filipinos eat it with everything, but it's particularly delicious with fried pork and chicken), Mixed Jungle Juice (green) and Plus!200 Strawberry (pink).
