Background
Founder, Henry, has a background in Business, IT and Economics . Having been on the UK leadership team of a large global charity until 2006, he spent 3 months in China teaching English and decided to make a contribution to the environment. He has built the site from scratch with around 90% hand-crafted like many of the products listed!
Raison d'Etre
The site exists to provide a space for consumers to explore green products and find the best deals. We want to get more people buying amazing green and ethical products that can lead to us all living more sustainable lifestyles. It is not the whole solution but a valuable cog in the wheel.
In addition to helping consumers, we also hope that the site helps retailers and manufacturers by promoting green products and increasing sales by raising awareness of the variety of products available and making products easier to find
Our Standards
We aim to be honest, positive and above all sustainable. We select products to list which are either (or preferably both) socially or environmentally sustainable. This means they must fit into at least one of the following categories (click to view products in the category):
